The Italian Job Café is an authentic Italian trattoria serving traditional healthy
and hearty cuisine. The café is run by the Stasolla family with Teresa as
Head Chef and Dominic, looking after the pizzeria and kids Jessica, Nunzio
and Leonardo helping out. The name was inspired by the movies (1969 &
2003) of the same name.
The friends in the movie have a strong bond of
loyalty. Food has always been central to developing this bond for Italians. It
is called a café rather than a restaurant to preserve the charm of the more
intimate, informal family owned trattoria or eatery. It has the feel of a cosy
and warm dining room of an Italian family.
We serve traditional cuisine and pizza with Italian simplicity and the freshest
ingredients bought daily and cooked to perfection to give that delicious
authentic taste reminiscent of Nonna’s (Grandma’s) cooking. Our pastas are
al dente with delicious sauces and our risottos creamy. Our pizzas are baked
with a crispy base, light Fior di latte cheese with generous toppings. Try one
of our Chefs favourite creations featured on the Blackboard Specials. Our
café is BYO with a bottle shop on Hillcrest Avenue open till 8:30pm daily.
Relax and enjoy our hospitality. If there is anything you need please just ask
our friendly and helpful wait staff and they will be certain to attend to you
promptly and accommodate your needs. We will be sure to serve your order
shortly.
The Italian Job Café has the buzz and charm of an Italian family get together,
sometimes loud but always full of fun and laughter. It is a local favourite for
the residences of the leafy suburb of Hurstville Grove. As we are in a
residential area please be considerate of neighbours when leaving the café.
Enjoy the meal and savour the company.
Buon Appetito!
